About Us

Jessica Brett Pascale, PsyD

Dr. Brett is a postdoctoral clinical neuropsychologist based in Athens, Georgia, specializing in complex neurology-based brain-behavior concerns. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from William James College, following extensive training in Boston through the Harvard Medical School hospital system. Her clinical and research experience includes work at Massachusetts General Hospital, McLean Hospital, Sports Concussion New England, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

She completed her APA-accredited residency at Penn Medicine in Pennsylvania, where she led therapeutic groups for brain injury rehabilitation and helped redesign the concussion evaluation protocol. Dr. Brett is currently completing a specialized postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology geared toward board certification through the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN).

Dr. Brett applies a holistic, evidence-based approach to neuropsychological assessment, integrating the bio-psycho-social model with the Boston Process Approach to deliver accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment recommendations that thoughtfully weighs objective and qualitative data. While she evaluates a wide range of cognitive and psychological concerns, she has advanced expertise in sports concussion and brain injury—especially within the equestrian community, a personal passion of hers.

In the sports medicine field, Dr. Brett has worked with professional and amateur athletes, including involvement in NFL-related concussion care, cognitive rehabilitation, and persistent concussion management. She is an active member of the Sports Neuropsychology Society (SNS) and has presented her research on concussion in youth athletes with concomitant neurodevelopmental disorders. Her professional talks span topics including brain injury, neurodegenerative disease, and the neurobiology of sleep architecture on chronic pain.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Brett is a lifelong equestrian. Raised in New York City, she began riding at age five and spent her formative years as a working student in the hunter/jumper discipline. She also obtained certification through PATH International and founded a training initiative for pre-doctoral psychologists in Equine Therapy in 2019.  Her career is centered around a deep commitment to bridging neuroscience with her passion for horses and brain health.
